‘Nursing stations’
If you have one of these (or ever had one), please comment below, and share what it contained. Anything different from mine?If you haven’t a clue what I’m talking about, please read on.Well, let’s put it this way: in the early days you will be glad to escape long enough to visit the loo or have a super speedy shower. Not every day. Other than that, you’ll be stuck under, next to, over, stuck to a feeding and/or sleeping baby.

So to avoid the added stress, annoyance and frustration of having to invent various contraptions to fish your phone back to you (which is probably just a few millimetres out of reach), just to find you managed to push it even further away, or go completely crazy with thirst or hunger when there’s nobody to call upon, this has been a tried and tested solution.
A portable ‘station’ – a tray, a bag, a trolley, a cardboard box – with all your essentials in it, which you can grab and plonk next to where you tend to spend the majority of your nursing time. Possible contents: TV remote, mobile phone, charger, WATER or other drink that keeps you hydrated, a nutritious snack (mine is chocolate ), a good book, something lovely to look at, smell, relax you, some tissues, wipes, breast pads etc. Are you going to give this a go? Let us know how you get on and what you’ve included. Photos more than welcome!
