Nesting
Two amazing nests made by birds. Animals. Aren’t they wonderful? We humans are animals. I hope you’re not offended by this! I mean it as a compliment! Sometimes we overthink things. We use our prefrontal cortex (our highly developed part of the brain) to do ‘mammalian stuff’ like giving birth and breastfeeding.
Be your inner mammal!
Close your eyes.
Smell your baby.
Touch your baby.
Listen to your baby.
Switch off your social media.
Look inwards and try to amplify your inner voices and only filter in those outer noises that feel supportive to you.
Trust your instincts.
Are you ‘nesting’ alongside nature right now? Is baby inside you or outside by now? Are you in that famous 4th trimester, where baby wants to be on you 24 hrs a day? Or perhaps your children are older now… If you’re reading this, chances are you’re breastfeeding or planning to do so.
